Suzhiyam/Sweet Paniyaram/sweet Dumplings

Suzhiyam is a traditional and sweet variety which is very famous in Tamil Nadu. It can be done easily with simple ingredients. This Suzhiyam can also be called as seeyam, sweet paniyaram and also has many names around Tamilnadu.

Especially In Coimbatore, we called it as sweet paniyaram and also all the festivals will be fulfilled only when we make this sweet paniyaram. This seeyam gives you the amazing tatse with the stuffing we made in it. For stuffing, I used Toor dal but also we can use chana Dal, the main thing is whatever dal you use it should be boiled carefully.
Some dal may take less time to cook but some will cook easily. So be clear about the way you cook and the dal you prefer. Here I have explained clearly how to make Suzhiyam or seeyam or sweet paniyaram or sweet dumplings with clear measurements of ingredients and also with a clear view. Step by step directions is shown below.
