Rava Laddu

Rava Laddu is a traditional sweet in south India. It is easy to make and tasty too. This Laddu is made with simple ingredients like rava, milk, sugar ghee and cashews. The time taken for rava laddu is just 10 minutes. Rava laddu is my most favorite because it is the one which I made very first in sweet variety. I was so excited when I did this for the first time. Of course, it came well.

Servings - 4
Preparation Time - 5 minutes
Cooking Time - 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Rava - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/4 Cup
Ghee - 4 tbsp
Cashews - 8
Raisin - 4
Cardamom powder - 1 pinch

Directions:

Step 1: Roast the rava in a pan using a tbsp of Ghee.

Step 2: Make a sugar powder by grinding sugar.

Step 3: Heat remaining ghee in a pan and add cashews and raisins and roast it.

Step 4: Now add roasted rava, Sugar powder, roasted cashew, raisin and cardamom powder in a bowl and mix well.

Step 5: Heat milk and add it to the rava mixed to make a ball. Note it should not go very liquid. Consistency is important.

Step 6: Finally roll up the laddu into small ball sized and eat well. Store it in a tight container and so that you can use for 2 weeks.
