Chettinad Chicken Fry


Chettinad Chicken Fry!, my all time favorite dish. If you bored with regular chicken recipes or need more spices you can go for Chettinad chicken fry. Here we go for the preparation.
Servings - 4
Preparation time - 10 minutes
Making Time - 30 minutes

Ingredients:


Country Chicken - 1kg
Chopped Onion shallot - 1 cup
Chopped Tomato - 2
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2tbsp
Oil- 4 tbsp
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Turmeric Powder -2tbsp
Red Chili Powder -2 tbsp
Pepper Powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
Fennel Powder - 1tbsp
Cinnamon Powder - 1 pinch
Salt -To Taste

Directions:

Step 1:  Wash the chicken with a tbsp of turmeric and salt thoroughly.
Step 2:  Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add onion & curry leaves.
Step 3:  Add Ginger garlic paste once the onion gets brown, Stir well until raw aroma goes away.

Step 4:  Now add tomato and saute well until its get smoothy.
Step 5:  Add all spices and stir well.
Step 6:  Finally add chicken, salt and saute it well.
Step 7:  Add a cup of water and cover with a lid. Let it cook for 6 to 7 whistles.

Step 8:  Switch off the stove, wait for the pressure gets down. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
