Snake Gourd Curry!! Snake Gourd Curry is an easy and tasty side dish. It goes well with all types of rice variety. Snake Gourd curry can be made by using some masalas and coconut. Though, it is watery vegetable it helps to reduce the weight. So those who wish to reduce their weight can often take this snake gourd into their foods. And the juiciness of the snake gourd makes you feel lite and tempting. It will give you the taste of best. Here I showed step by step procedure for making snake gourd curry with photos.
Servings - 2
Preparation time - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time - 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
Snake Gourd - 1 cup(or 2 snake gourd)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tbsp
Onion Chopped - 1
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Chili - 2
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
Chili powder - 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 4 tbsp
Salt to taste
Directions:
Step 1: Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, chana dal, chopped onion, chili, curry leaves one after another. Saute well for a minute.
Step 2: Now add chopped snake gourd and all spice powders and salt.
Step 3: Add some water and let it cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Cover with a lid and let it cook.
Step 5: Now add grated coconut and mix well.
Step 6: Serve with rice. Rasam rice will be the best combination for snake gourd curry.
