Ribbon Pakoda!! Snack Variety!! Ribbon pakoda can be done for an evening snack. It is a simple and easy dish. Don't bother about evening time snack. Just make this ribbon pakoda and enjoy your snack time. It can be done instantly. An easy method of doing ribbon pakoda is explained here.
For making ribbon pakoda you just need besan flour, rice flour to the equal quantity.


You can add urad dal flour or roasted gram powder. Urad dal is available in all stores. You can buy and use it. Else, roast the urad dal for a minute and grind them to the powder. You will get a fine urad dal powder. In the same way, you can make roasted gram flour. You can roast and grind else you can grind directly to make a paste.

Mix all the ingredients into a dough and put it in the murukku maker. You have to take ribbon nozzle plate for making ribbon pakoda. Fry it in the oil and take out. You will get a crispy ribbon pakoda.

Cooking Time - 15 minutes



Ingredients:


Besan Flour - 1 cup
Rice Flour - 1 cup
Urad dal \ Roasted gram dal - 2 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1 tbsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Sesame seeds - 1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp(finely chopped)
Butter - 2 tbsp
Oil to fry
Salt to taste

Directions: 


Step 1: Take a mixing bowl, add besan flour, rice flour, red chili powder, asafoetida, sesame seeds, cumin seeds, salt, finely chopped curry leaves, urad dal flour and mix them well.



Step 2: Add butter to the mixer and mix well.






Step 3: Add some water to the bowl and mix well. Make a dough. The dough should be softer than chapati dough.




Step 4: Now take murruku maker and apply oil. Take a ribbon plate.





Step 5: Heat oil in a pan to make a fry. It should be at a high temperature.



Step 6: Now you can add the murruku dough into the maker. Press over hot oil. You can either make swirls or small pieces.



Step 7: Deep fry in medium flame until the sizzling sound stops. Take out and let it cool.
