Making of this ice apple kulfi recipe is very simple and you can make this with very few ingredients and with less time.
Nungu is a fruit which is very famous in India and you can get this during summer days. It has lots of health benefits. Ice apple or nungu is also rich in Vitamin A, B and C, Iron, Zinc, Phosphorous, Potassium and lots more which is good for the human body. If you are suffering from chickenpox, this juicy fruit provides a cooling effect that can reduce the itchiness. 


Here I have tried a new recipe with Nungu called nungu kulfi or Ice apple Kulfi. You can get the recipe with a step by step procedure also with a clear picture and video.

Servings - 2
Preparation Time - 5 minutes
Cooking Time - 30 Minutes
Freezing Time - up to 6 hours


INGREDIENTS:

Nungu - 3 pieces
Milk - 250 ml
Sugar - 100 gm

PROCEDURE:

Step 1: Take 3 pieces of Nungu. It should be young and watery nungu. Add this nungu in a mixer jar and grind to a smooth paste. It should be thick and smooth.

Step 2: Heat milk until it becomes half the quantity. For example, if you heat 500ml of milk it should become 250 ml. 
It will become thick and half in the quantity. Heat in the medium flame so that you can avoid the burning.

Step 3: Once it reduced to 1/2 the quantity then add 100gm sugar. You can also add jaggery if you are a healthy freaky. 

Step 4: Stir well for 5 more minutes in a medium flame. Finally, add nungu paste and mix well. The nungu paste should be dissolved completely in the milk.

Step 5: Then switch off the flame and let it cool for some time and transfer it to the kulfi pot and freeze for about 4-6 hours.

Step 6: Once it has done take out the kulfi from the freezer and leave it for 2-3 minutes and enjoy the Ice apple kulfi.

DIRECTION:

Grind Nungu into a smooth paste


Heat milk until it becomes half the quantity



Add sugar and stir well




Add nungu paste and stir well



Switch off the flame and let it cool
Add the mixture into Kulfi pot


Freeze it for 4-6 hours


Take out and enjoy the Nungu Kulfi
