Country Chicken Gravy


Chicken Gravy!! Favorite for many. Here I tried a new way of making chicken gravy. You can make this yummy and tasty chicken gravy with your homemade ingredients. Country chicken has lots of benefits. Try this gravy and enjoy your food. It goes well with rice and tiffin like dosa, idly, chapati.



Servings - 3
Preparation Time - 20 Minutes
Cooking Time - 20 Minutes

Ingredients:


Country Chicken - 3/4 kg
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 3 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Green Chilli - 3
Red chili powder - 3 tbsp
Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
Jeera powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 2 tbsp
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Salt to taste.

Directions:


Step 1: Wash the chicken thoroughly with a pinch of salt and half tbsp of turmeric powder.

Step 2: In a pressure cooker put chicken, 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder, 1/2 tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste and a cup of water. Cook it for about 3 whistles.



Step 3: Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onion, curry leaves and chili. Saute well for 2 minutes.


Step 4: Now add ginger garlic paste and stir well.


Step 5: Then add tomato and saute well until it gets smooth.


Step 6: Add all spice powders and salt. Saute well until raw flavor goes away.


Step 7: Add boiled chicken in a pan. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 5 to 6 minutes in a low flame.



Step 8: Finally, add coconut milk and cook for 4 minutes.


Step 9: Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with rice, idly or dosa.
