Onion Pakoda


Onion Pakoda!! All time favorite snack!! Evening Snack!! Onion pakoda is served for an evening snack. Making of Onion pakoda is very simple and easy. It is a crispy and tasty pakoda. For making pakoda usually we add ginger garlic paste, it is the major tastemaker in the process. Pakoda has much variety, you can make pakoda with your favorite vegetable. Onion pakoda is a well known and famous pakoda among all. 

With a simple step, I made an Onion pakoda. Here I used gram flour and rice flour to make pakoda. With that, I used ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, and salt. Here I explained how to make Onion pakoda with step by step procedure with clear photos.


Servings - 2
Preparation Time - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time - 10 Minutes

Ingredients:


Gram Flour - 1/2 cup
Rice Flour - 1/4 cup
Onion- 1 Big
Oil to fry
Ginger garlic paste - 1tbsp
Red chili powder - 1/2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 2 sprig
Curry Leaves - 3 sprig
Salt to taste

Directions:


Step 1: Slice the onion into lengthy pieces. In a bowl add sliced onion, coriander leaves.



Step 2: Add all other ingredients except oil. Mix them well. Keet it for 10 minutes to onion to absorb the flour. 





Step 3: Then add 1/4 cup of water little by little to make a paste. Make it as a semi-thick paste. 



Step 4: Heat oil in a pan to make a deep fry. Let it hot to high temperature.



Step 5: Once the oil is ready then put the onion into the pan separately. Don't make them sticky. Separate them from each other.



Step 6: Keep fry until it turns brown. Flip it often when it is frying. Once it cooked, take them out and serve hot. When the bubbles disappear, it means it ready to take out.




Step 7: Fry some curry leaves in the same oil and sprinkle it on the pakoda. It will give the additional taste to the pakoda.



Onion Pakoda is an evening snack variety which can be served with tea or coffee. Make this Onion pakoda when you feel to eat something good. Try this and have a good snack time.
