Ragi Vada/ Ragi Pakoda is a healthy snack variety. Ragi vada/ragi pakoda is a famous snack variety in India. Ragi means finger millet also known as African Millet. Here I have explained how to make Ragi Vada/ Ragi Pakoda with a step by step procedure with a clear photo.
Preparation Time - 5 Minutes
Cooking Time - 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
Ragi Flour - 1 cup
Rice Flour - 2 tbsp
Peanuts - 1/4 cup
Oil to fry
Chopped Onion - 1
Green Chili - 2
Red chili powder - 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Roasted gram - 2 tbsp
Cooking Soda powder - 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Procedure:
Step 1: Heat pan and dry roast the peanuts. Grind it and make a powder.
Step 2: In a mixing bowl add ragi flour, peanuts powder, rice flour, salt, soda salt, roasted gram and mix well.
Step 3: Chop green chili, onion, curry leaves into fine and add to the bowl. Mix well.
Step 4: Add some water to make a dough. Add 1/2 cup of water. It should be like looser than chapati dough.
Step 5: If it is for pakoda then, make it little liquid than vada consistency.
Step 6: Heat oil in a pan for fry. Bring it to the high temperature.
Step 7: Split the dough into small balls.
Step 8: Apply oil to your hand and take the balls and make it to a rounded one. It should be thin.
Step 9: Put the Vada into oil and make a deep fry. Your crispy Ragi vada is ready to eat.
Step 10: If it is pakoda just take the mixture and put it into the oil like small sized pieces. Make it fry and take out.
