Pomfret Masala Fry

Ingredients:
Pomfret Fish - 1
Oil - 4 tbsp
Chopped Onions - 1/2
Curry leaves - 1sprig
Ginger - 2 pieces
Garlic - 8 cloves
Green chili - 1
Tamarind - 1 lemon sized
Coconut - 4 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Red chili powder - 3 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Directions:
Step 1: Make a paste by grinding ginger, garlic, green chili, soaked tamarind and grated coconut.
Step 2: Heat two tbsp of oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
Step 3: Add chopped onion, curry leaves and saute it.
Step 4: Add the paste and mix well.
Step 5: Now, add all the spice powders and salt.
Step 6: Let it cook for about 3 minutes and switch off the stove.
Step 7: Make a line on both sides of a fish.
Step 8: Do spread the masala over the fish.
Step 9: Heat a pan and pour a tbsp of oil and put the fish.
Step 10: Let it cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame.
Step 11: Once it cooked, turn into another side. Let it cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame.
Step 12: Take out and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
