Potato Masal\Poori Masal



Do not think of the idea of side dish after you decided to make a poori. Potato masal is a great combination for Poori. Easy steps for making poori masal is below here.

Servings - 2
Preparation Time - 10 minutes
Cooking Time - 10 minutes

Ingredients:


Potato - 2
Sliced Onion - Half
Garlic - 2 clove
Green Chili - 1
Curry Leaves - 1 sprig
Coriander Leaves - 1 sprig
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Cinnamon - 1 small piece
Fennel seeds - 1/4 tbsp
Cloves - 2
Turmeric Powder  - 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tbsp
Red chili powder - 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste


Directions:


Step 1: Boil the potato and peel off the skin. 



Smash the boiled potatoes and keep aside.


Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, fennel seeds, cinnamon, and cloves. Let them crackle.



Step 3: Add Sliced onion, green chili, curry leaves and saute it well.



Step 4: Now add garlic and stir well until the raw aroma goes away.



Step 5: Add all spice powders and salt.



Step 6: Finally, add potato and mix well.



Step 7: Add a cup of water and let it cook for two minutes. Then, switch off the flame. 



Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Poori.
