Servings - 4
Preparation Time - 10 Minutes
Cooking Time - 10 Minutes

Ingredients:


Banana stem - 1 piece
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 Tbsp
Chana dal - 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
Chopped Onion - 3 tbsp
Green chili - 2
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
Salt to taste

Procedure:

Step 1: Cut the banana stem into small pieces and put it in the buttermilk or water. So that it remains the same color.
Step 2: Heat Oil in a pan and add mustard seedsurad dal, and chana dal. Let them crackle.
Step 3: Then add chopped onions, curry leaves, and Green Chili. Saute it well for 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 4: Now add a chopped banana stem and turmeric powder. Add salt and mix well. Let it cook for 5 to 6 minutes. Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook. You don't want to add water because the stem itself has enough water to boil.
Step 5: Once the banana stem is cooked switch off the flame and add coconut and mix well. The tasty banana stem fry is ready to serve.

Directions:
